Low ash met coke is used as a fuel and reducing agent to extract iron from iron ore in steel plants. It is also used in ferro-alloys industries, blast furnaces, foundries, zinc, chemical and cement industries. Met coke is graded depending on the size of the coke: Foundry coke: 80 mm+. Blast Furnace coke: 25-80 mm. Nut Coke: 10-30 mm.
